denizgperk » June.Storm How did you connect 2 screens to laptop, I looked for a solution on the net but couldnt figure it out? Any help will be appreciated 2 years ago     Comment   Report

denizgperk » hilamonster what a great trading man. Been following you for a long while, have nothing but respect for your trading style. Very disciplined, very in control. Have one question: why would you trade such small amounts, having proven great stats as such? 2 years ago     5 Comments   Report

hilamonster I have been margin called twice so I know the pain of making pips as well as giving them back. I've increased my lot sizes from .01 to .05 so I'm taking a few more chances. 2 years ago     Report

hilamonster I also don't like the new margin system. Used to be easy to figure out what your margin would be, so on a .01 trade, margin was .50 cents. Now it varies. So I don't want to get over my head in margin also. Last year was the first time that I made money, not a lot per se, but $220 bucks trading pennies. I guess I work hard for my money too and I don't like to see it get ****ed away on the market. As it has been quoted, "a fool and his money are soon parted". 2 years ago     Report

hilamonster And I guess it is my confidence level too. I used to trade without any S/L's. Just let it ride. Now I don't do that. Set it, if it goes the way I want, great. If not I'm out a few pips. Before they quit letting us hedge our accounts here in the US, I used to trade both ways on the gbp/jpy. I love that pair but it could/did get me into trouble. I turned $200 into $800 just to watch it get margin called. No stops=loads of trouble. I was opening up more trades hoping it would go the other way. So now, little trades, s/l's and t/p's are used. Sure it's nice to get the large moves, but getting 30 or so pips works too. Hope your trading is going well for this year. So far so good for me. Trying for another $250 or so is my goal. Maybe some bigger lot sizes too. Later 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk got your point brother, wish you all the best. Trading without SL or without having a favorable R:R is really dangerous. For me, I basically trade the news. In Techincal trading I didnt have much success before, and to tell the truth I didnt even believe it could be done with long-time consistency. Lately I decided to study it inside out, FPA has great info. Trying to learn harmonics, fibs etc, which I had always ignored till now, and see that was such mistake 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk » asianangie Great trading. Got a question: On those 845 pip AUDJPY loss, I see you kept them open about 6 months, which looked unlikely for you to keep that long. You have great stats, so was there an uncommon case for those trades 2 years ago     3 Comments   Report

asianangie It was a trade for swap, manage on the monthly chart. Under normal circumstances I would never close that trade. As you can see, AUDJPY price has return to this level (87.00's). I closed the trades bc I had big enough yield and I wanted to withdraw the money. 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk so had it not been a swap trade how many pips would you allow a trade to go against you, what would be your largest stop? And other question, will you still take monthly chart trades or swap trades on this account? IM just asking if I follow some of your trades so I can know how much to risk per trade 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk one more comment: 6 months of swap yield would be much lower than 845 pips of loss, wouldnt you say so 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk » Normy Hi Normy. EURCAD seems pretty open till around 1.3170s without any seen resistance, whats your strategy on this trade? 2 years ago     3 Comments   Report

denizgperk let your worst accident be like this one good trade again brother 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk im not much of a tech trader. I just follow some good traders here when I have time. My style is mostly news trading, and I dont use MT4 really for it since I find it to be lacking for trading news 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk » Normy normy still keeping the gbp trade? when you planning to bail 2 years ago     5 Comments   Report

denizgperk I had bailed at the first stop you had put before, seems it found pretty solid support here, just careful bro, risking more than 80-100 pips feels dangerous to me 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk ugly one, if so, if you askin my point Id rather keep loss small, will be many better trades along the way 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk I wanted to ask you a question a while ago, then forgot. Before maybe about a month ago, I saw you were moving the stops away if price comes close. Do you keep your stops as hard stops always? I was scared to follow when I had first seen that... 2 years ago     Report

denizgperk » Pippi great stats. How many pips do you allow a losing position to go against you, I mean what type of stop do you generally use? 2 years ago     2 Comments   Report

Pippi Hi, I have to be honest and tell you I do not generally use a hard stop loss. I probably should but ....I do use a trailing stop on each trade of 11.5 pips or 8.5 pips respectively. I have been lucky since I opened this last demo account. :-) I look at Candlestick patterns and pivot points and trade the 15 minute chart. I am still learning. I wish you profitable trades. Peace! 2 years ago     Report
