Shaunthapimp If you're bored, check out the new Metaquotes update. Now with Fibonacci, drawable lines, quicker interface and a ton of new features that I don't know what they are yet. Still no ability to show multiple charts on the phone version, but I'll take it! 2 weeks ago     2 Comments   Report

Shaunthapimp iPhone, but probably both. Just check the Play Store 2 weeks ago     Report

Shaunthapimp Back on that EurUsd. GbpAud was fun. Provided me with days that put up Nintendo numbers, but all in all, too risky. EurUsd with a high MACD setting just seems like home 2 months ago     2 Comments   Report

Shaunthapimp RIP Bitcoin...
2 months ago     4 Comments   Report

jspark uh oh.. what's that all mean.. 2 months ago     Report

ArthurFelter What does it mean? Nothing, really. Mt Gox was one of many exchanges for bitcoin. It was the largest, and that's why it has brought down the value of bitcoin and why it's news to begin with, but longterm it will just be a blip. 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I wouldn't buy any! 2 months ago     Report

ArthurFelter I wouldn't buy any either - right now, anyways. Give it a couple of weeks, and when the dust settles it might be a good buy opportunity. The market has indicated that it is comfortable with a $1,000 valuation, and it tanked only because of Mt Gox. Sure, it will take some time for people to trust it again, but I don't think everyone has lost all faith in it. 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp So today I decided to trade GbpAud on a 1 minute chart. I ended my day a half hour ago.... I'm still shaking! 2 months ago     14 Comments   Report

pradeepgolf I am speechless....you only have to think as fast as a supercomputer 2 months ago     Report

jspark hmm just gave me an idea.. create an offline chart.. instead of 1 week tf chart.. the exact number of minutes ibfx is opened.. wonder what that might look like... gotta go home later and play around with it 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I got 7080 minutes 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I'm also using MACD 170,25,170 and no trading other than 2am-10am. It just doesn't appear to work after that. Win rate around 60% or so, outweighing the losses. All times EST 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp It's a work in progress, but if I can keep up with it, should work well 2 months ago     Report

jspark I'm working on trading the weekly and daily.. I've been coming back to my comp to see there are gaps in the orders.. appears it might tp off the daily, then when price reaches the next level that hasn't been triggered it starts to trig orders again... working on some code to get back in at the same levels without a endless loop bug 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I was doin that manually for a while. Worked great for following the trend. But when it reverses, look out cause you're in full force to a loosing trade. So I've been gung ho on the first trade and if I need to, add to the winning position from there. That way, when it does reverse, your first few trades are still in the profit zone, while your little 'sacrificial' added positions are the only ones taking a loss. But to be honest, if I keep trading the 1 minute, I don't even have the time to think about any of that! 2 months ago     Report

fenix1 I trade ONLY the GBP/AUD. I use Slow Stochastic set at 24-9-9 as the "Setup" and a 6-20 period EMA Crossover as the "Trigger" on the 5 minuteChart. Also have the Daily Pivot on chart in Aqua with the Support levels below it in Red and the Resistance levels above it in Lime. I trade it usually between 6 am till 12 noon EST and i've been hitting my 30 pip target 90+% of the time. This is the methodology ive been using for 3 weeks now. In 17 days i've made 75 trades and have only 3 losses. Think i'm onto something! The fact i started trading just 1 "Cross" instead of trying to trade a half dozen or so has really made a difference. Have developed a "feel" for how the GBP?AUD moves and whether its' Overbought or Oversold which really helps. Of course i get suprised occasionally but then i have my "Close Order" ticket up on screen in the lower left hand corner of the chart with my cursor on the tab AND my finger on my Mouse Button bout 90% of the time especially if the price starts acting stupid! I use Market Orders and as soon as it's executed up comes my close order ticket seconds later. If i can keep this up am gonna open a "live" account in March and try it again. Have a "system" now, last time i traded by the "seat of my pants" and lost my shirt! As it's been said, "Plan your' trade and Trade your' plan"...seems to work...Anyways, have a good weekend! 2 months ago     Report

jspark incase of power failure you should keep your cell phone next to you and have that order opened for close as well if you don't have as many trades as I do... nearly impossible for me to close 1000 trades off my cell but... it's better than nothing if I need to exit... 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp There's this other broker I have that has a 1 button close all option. I wish MT4 would implement that, but because of the nature of the platform, don't believe it's possible 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp It's crazy. I'm so prepared for power outages. I have 4 smartphones and 2 power cells just in case! 2 months ago     Report

fenix1 MT4 under "Navigator" has a "Close All" order ya can paste to your' chart under "Scripts". Have never used it but i think that's what ur' referring to. Only trade 1 position at a time but have the Order number and time written down and my Cell fully charged and ready. Live in the "Sticks" on the Lake and power has a really bad habit of going out just bout everytime we have a Thunderstorm blow through. 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp Sweet! Good tip! 2 months ago     Report

jspark yeah if you call ibfx customer support.. hello how can i help you? "close all" please give me the ticket number.. "um i got 1000 tickets... close all" sorry i need the ticket number 2 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp This is what I've been up to this week. More MACD settings. On the 5 min. Chart, I've used these settings. Bottom for the trend, top for the trigger. Seems to work well, but the more I analyze, the more I realize there ain't nothing on EurUsd worth trading after 11am EST.

fenix1 I used the MACD for awhile and experimented with it. For me having it set at 3-10-1 worked pretty good. Have to change a few colors and stuff but what i'd have is just a Yellow "Signal" line on a Black background and i'd put a white horizontal line at the 50% mark and one at the 30 and 70. similar to the RSI. 3 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp The good old days! 3 months ago     Report

jspark I abandoned this method because there's no way to write an EA for it since you can't do this on a normal chart, and probably no way to quantify it... would probably have to peg every value and create a conversion for the ea to recognize... maybe in the future I will come back to it 3 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I did also. Seemed a little laggy, especially on this recent drop. I am, however, in love with the 15,97,2 setup. See next post! 3 months ago     Report

pradeepgolf all indicators are laggy so they should only be used on daily or higher time frames for best results 3 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp *16,97,2. That was a typo 3 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp ...been playing with some new MACD settings. 16,97,2. Seems promising. Anybody else try any thing besides default? 3 months ago     5 Comments   Report

ArthurFelter I have done a lot with different MACD settings. Most recently, I have experimented with 3 MACDs together: 10,1,1; 20,1,1; 50,1,1. I use the 50 to determine trend (above 0, up trend; below 0, down trend), then I use the 10 and 20 to identify pullbacks 3 months ago     Report

Shaunthapimp I've been using the default settings for years, just seems like I could get more out of my closes 3 months ago     Report
